How to Channel Positive Vibes

As a designer it can be difficult when you lose your creative mojo or are working on a particularly challenging project but it's important not to let this hold you back! We've got some tips to help you channel positive vibes and motivate you to create your best piece yet.

1. Take a break

If you're workaholics, like we are, it can be easy to forget to take a break. Have time to breathe, reflect, and have fun! Get out and explore or read a book, you will come back to your work inspired and ready to whip out your paintbrushes.

2. Be mindful

When we first heard about mindfulness we were a little dubious but don't pass it off as voodoo talk just yet. In today's world it can be easy to be three steps ahead with your head going into overdrive. This can leave you feeling run-down and negative with not the foggiest why! Mindfulness is about living in the moment and taking time to take stock on your thoughts.

3. A change is as good as a break

If you're feeling you need a shake-up and a chance to blow away the cobwebs, why not try something new? Take a class in a new skill, go on a mini-adventure, or how about taking a different route to work tomorrow? Even the smallest change in your routine can give you a fresh outlook, a confidence boost, and much needed positive vibes.

4. One good deed...

Deserves another. One kind act has the power to make someone's day as well as filling yourself with those feel-good, positive vibes. In the words of the fabulous Audrey Hepburn "you have two hands, one for helping yourself, the other for helping others".

5. Laughter is the best medicine

Who doesn't love a good laugh? Catching up with some old friends, reminiscing about your funniest moments, or watching your favourite comedy is a sure way to have a giggle. It will leave you feeling re-energized and ready to create some cracking work.
