At the Buttercrumble HQ, we're pleased to share that we have a new team member. Niamh currently studies Art and Design (Fashion Pathway) at a local college. She reached out to us to gain further work experience in graphic design in order to decide what career path would be right for her. Since joining us here, Niamh has helped us develop the Sketcheasy project as well as improving her own design skills and knowledge.

We decided to ask Niamh a little more about herself and what she loves about creativity...

A memorable and authentic brand? Maybe not. 
 

It can be easy to get carried away with the visuals of your brand. We all love to look at beautiful things as it helps us to understand, identify and evokes emotion. However, the visuals cannot reach their full potential without strong foundations.

Bubble London is an amazing premium kidswear and lifestyle brands trade show. It was so lovely to attend. We spent the two days illustrating portraits of visitors and we even found time to perform our branding seminar. It was great to share the value of visuals with everyone.

Both days were jam-packed for us, luckily I took a couple of snaps before the madness began!

Last year it was amazing to work with our friend, Amy, creator of the Kvinde Zine. Kvinde is the Danish word for 'woman', which is exactly what the zine celebrates. A few months on and Amy is now enjoying motherhood (with her beautiful daughter, Evie) and planning her next zine. It's such an exciting time! We decided to catch up with Amy to hear more about her ideas...

For this year's Leeds Indie Food Fest, we teamed up with House of Koko to host The Delicious Draw. House of Koko is a gorgeous coffee house in Chapel Allerton who offer delicious food, bakes and drinks. It was a pleasure working with them to host this event.  

We absolutely loved working on Pop Up & Play Co.'s recent brand refresh earlier this year. When they asked us whether we'd like to create some illustrated activity sheets for their latest exhibition, we couldn't wait to start drawing!
