Pantone Scarborough Identity
A conceptual project

In response to Pantone's 2015 brief for D&AD, re-brand your town, this is an identity for our hometown of Scarborough.

THE BRIEF

The logo is based on the Grand Hotel which is an iconic piece of architecture known by all the locals. The colour scheme was created based on a photograph I had taken of its famous beach.

BRANDING WITH TILES

A series of tiles were created which could be pieced together to create posters or be integrated around the town in more ambient ways. This involved placing them as pavement flags or using the patterns as lenticulars on the stairs down to the beach or as way-finders.

COLLECTIBLE TILES

For tourists who visit Scarborough there would be collectible tiles available to them which they could then take away as a souvenir.
