Playtime Paris: Our Experience in Film

We were delighted to share our interactive artwork on an international stage at the recent Playtime Paris Show. We were able to engage the public in the arts, whilst also welcoming a new global audience on a larger-scale. View the complete case study on our portfolio.

Playtime host premium trade shows dedicated to children and maternity. The globally attended show took place from the 26th - 28th January 2019 at Parc Floral de Paris. It is the “go-to” show for the children’s sector, which saw an incredible 7235 visitors over the three days. A striking 56.7% of those were international according to Playtime’s show report (February 2019).

We combined our young-at-heart style and Playtime’s theme of family, to create an 8m-long group portrait of attendees. It was an orchard of “family trees” which required audience participation. Each participant was drawn onto an apple, these were then attached to our illustrated mural. Many participants then took to social media to share their experience of Playtime Paris. They were able to share their memories (and collaborative artwork) with friends, families and colleagues from all over the world.

We strongly believe that illustration can boost wellbeing and spark the imagination. Over the three days, we wanted to allow visitors and exhibitors to experience this at the show to nurture the show’s positive vibes. It was an accessible and engaging activity so we were able to connect with as many people as possible. We introduced positivity into everyday lives, on a global stage, through the power of design at Playtime Paris.
