Live Illustration for Mayfair Youth Forum in London

Visual note-taking enabled Buttercrumble to capture London's Mayfair Youth Forum, engagingly and creatively. 2-3 Degrees kindly invited us to document the event earlier this month.

The Mayfair Youth Forum is a group of young leaders aged 14-18 working to enhance #YouthVoice in the area. The event took place at Grosvenor Square (London), as they have been advocating to make it a better district for youth. It was an opportunity to celebrate their achievements and teamwork.

MATT + FIONA and New Practice (who have also partnered on the project to improve Grosvenor Square) joined the forum. This led to a fun workshop that saw participants inspire a new seating installation and contribute to its success.

By performing the act of live illustration, we were able to encapsulate the essence of the day. By scribing, we could record what was said and incorporate this into the image. It's something photography can't do!

We have had a fantastic day listening to the young people of London and their commitment to designing a better future! A big thank you to 2-3 Degrees for engaging with us at the event.

If you would like to produce a creative legacy for your festival, workshop or seminar — please do get in touch! We’d love to hear about your plans.
