Reporting directly to the company’s director, this is a unique opportunity to make a personal impact in a small but growing company. Based in Leeds, West Yorkshire, Buttercrumble is a family-owned business that specialises in creative strategy, illustration, and brand design. Buttercrumble takes pride in delivering its services to a number of community-sensitive and young-at-heart brands across the globe.
This is a varied, hands-on role for someone who enjoys both the creative process and the structure that helps the magic happen. You'll be just as comfortable preparing presentation decks and creating social media graphics as you are coordinating actions, managing details and keeping multiple projects moving forward.
We are looking for someone who is proactive, thoughtful and naturally organised. You will have a strong visual eye and a genuine appreciation for good design, but you'll also understand that great creative work depends on understanding the needs of the audience, teamwork, excellent planning, and honest communication.
Most importantly, you'll enjoy making things happen. You'll be someone who notices the details, keeps projects moving forward and takes pride in helping others do their best work.
Responsibilities:
Support day-to-day project coordination by maintaining our Trello boards, project trackers, and CRM system.
Take accurate meeting notes, process client feedback and circulate clear actions to relevant team members.
Act as the organisational backbone to the Creative Director across multiple concurrent projects.
Support the Creative Directors with inbox and diary management by triaging communications, coordinating responses, flagging priorities and helping ensure important actions, opportunities and client enquiries are progressed efficiently.
Liaise with internal teams, agencies, suppliers and production partners to ensure actions are completed on time and projects remain on track.
Proactively identify upcoming requirements, anticipate potential challenges and flag risks before they become issues.
Keep creative and production files and folders organised and up to date.
Assist with the development and organisation of mood boards, presentation decks, reports, production documents and other client-facing materials.
Work closely with the Creative Directors to understand and uphold Buttercrumble’s visual identity and creative standards, and help ensure all creative outputs align with our clients’ aims and feedback.
Research visual references, industry trends, creative inspiration and potential approaches to support project development.
Help prepare for workshops, on-site projects and client meetings, including arranging travel, organising materials and packing equipment.
Support the preparation of tenders and proposals by reviewing tender documentation, completing supplier forms and gathering relevant case studies and supporting materials.
Use templates and existing assets to create graphics, adapt artwork, draft social media content and schedule posts across relevant channels.
Support the creation of marketing content, including blog articles, newsletters, and case studies.
Help to prepare artwork for print and production across a range of formats, including signage, packaging, publications and promotional materials.
Apply and implement feedback accurately, making amends to creative work while maintaining quality and attention to detail.
Act as the custodian of the studio, taking ownership of organisation, hospitality, supplies, deliveries and general upkeep, while proactively identifying ways to keep the team focused, productive and supported.
Take pride in creating a welcoming, organised and inspiring studio environment by anticipating needs, preparing meeting spaces and taking ownership of the small details that contribute to an exceptional client and team experience.
