Why did we start DesignHer? Despite making up nearly two-thirds of design graduates, only 23% of professional designers are women (Design Week, 2023). We’re here to help!

You’re welcome here. We especially welcome those from working-class backgrounds, people of colour, disabled people, carers, and anyone who feels overlooked.
What’s involved?
This is a pilot year, so you’ll also help co-design what the future of DesignHer looks like. You’ll be invited to our events, where your voice matters, and your ideas will shape how the network grows.
We’ll host four friendly meetups across West Yorkshire. Each session is:

💡 Practical and inspiring: Featuring workshops, peer discussions, and guest mentors.
🫶 Family-friendly: No late nights or alcohol-centred networking, just food, ideas, and connection.
