After a successful pilot year (funded by the West Yorkshire Combined Authority), we’re pleased to be continuing the peer-support network for creative women.
Why did we start DesignHer? Despite making up nearly two-thirds of design graduates, only 23% of professional designers are women (Design Week, 2023). We’re here to help!

You’re welcome here. We especially welcome those from working-class backgrounds, people of colour, disabled people, carers, and anyone who feels overlooked.
What’s involved?
DesignHer is free to join. Members join by making a simple pledge or commitment to actively support women in the creative industries.
Volunteer with us
We are looking for voluntary members to support with admin, promotion, and the general running of DesignHer.
Being a member of DesignHer means actively supporting and promoting fellow female creatives, while working collaboratively with others to achieve greater equity. Network members act as ambassadors for the creative industries.

Each session is:
☕️ Relaxed and welcoming: Think coffee club vibes, not corporate networking.
💡 Practical and inspiring: Featuring workshops, peer discussions, and guest mentors.
🫶 Family-friendly: No late nights or alcohol-centred networking, just food, ideas, and connection.
